FEELING CONFUSED

As i said in my last post,Me,Guru and now Venkat and Ramanan have started to build our Symposium website www.infractionz.com.And as i said earlier we are using blogger to host our site.Initially we found the site pretty decent and worthy,but off late we have been visiting hundreds of websites(different college's symposium websites) and we find that all of them are flash sites designed with the help of professionals,as a result of which these sites look awesome.
So after this we were quite down ,now we knew where we stood.So,now we thought we could use some professional help,we then found that one of our other department guy was a pro web designer,we asked him for help,and he said he could get us a very good flash site for 500 bucks,but the problem we have is that our coll wont get us more finance for this any more,so we got to put in our cashes.We of course will be goin in for flash templates putting in our cash ar atleast try developing a html site with pre designed available html templates,but at present we need a net database for our symp,so we are at present into developing our blogger site.But once we are completely done with this,we will go in for the flash site or the html temp site and host it later..

I just need in your feedbacks about how our site looks at present.Just send in your feedbacks as comments,it would be really helpful to know the views from a third eye...

Hey vijay just relax. What ever you do is because of your own hard work, so don bother about how it comes out. Just try as much as possible and feel happy that your first shot is really good...

The main purpose of the site is to provide reliable information to the users....with proper navigation and working links...if u cannot get a glitzy site right now it is ok...it is good to look at it but it does not serve much...so don't be stressed too much about it...concentrate on the information content...

May be in the home page instead of as such using the college banner, u can separate it...type on ur own Jaya college blah blah and use the logo...the color does not gel in with the infraction banner...

ohhh..and use information instead of info.....

i don't want to stress u guys....but if u finish uploading all the information...u can then try to include in ur program schedule all the people's name who are coordinating the events...for ex. sudoku, the name of person cordinating it, the venue where it will take place...if all this has been already sorted out then u can ask the coordinators to give their passport size pix and include it...it will help people to figure each other....

if possible also have a page for partcipants....if already people have registered, then u can upload their names and associated colleges...it kind of gives a professional look and also people love to see their names on the web!

i know it's a lot of work...but if u get help from volunteers..could also be ur juniors just to feed the data, i am sure u guys would manage it...

@yayathy:: Thanks maan...but the prob is, the entire site is not for us,but for others,so we are at a compulsion as to create a Good site for them...but as u said,if we go in for options ,there are a million of them,we can never be settle on one thing...So its better that we do it our own way...


@ela:: Thanks once again ela,ur ideas are really helping us here...Ya we will surely remove that coll banner...
n ya,we will put in the names of the events co-ordinators very soon....
